Love and Engagement
// May 11th, 2010 // I Love LA.
This didn’t happen in Los Angeles, but I feel the need to write about it here. Stan and I have been together for four months and on Saturday night I took a 2 hour Amtrak train ride from Los Angeles to Solana Beach to meet him. He had a pink rose waiting for me along with lovely floating candles in glass, flames quivering in their various places around the room, casting the perfect moving hue of light on his tan skin, freckles, and curly black hair. He tends to do random amazing things so I didn’t suspect unusual and in fact wasn’t aware of what I was in for… fast forward to the phone conversation I had with my brother who is in Florida just now.Me: I just got engaged!
Taurug: No you didn’t.
Me. Dude, I did!
Taurug: Are you serious?
Me: Yes, bro!
Taurug: No, you’re not!
Me: Yes, I am. Look on Facebook!
Taurug: That’s crazy. I didn’t expect that. Are you happy about it?
Me: Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Yes!
Taurug: Makes me wanna meet the guy now.
Maybe I seem too independent or insane for marriage, or perhaps too goofy and naïve. But whatever. IT HAS HAPPENED. It feels right. Lovely yet perfectly natural and ordinary. Stan is the man.

may your relationship nurture that flower into a big beautiful garden…..
SEE, I CAN WRITE SAPPY STUFF TOO !!!
hi wats your myspace page
Aw how awesome, Bel! Can’t wait to meet him! Y’know this is all very UN-LosAngeles-like. Seriously though, I still want to be invited to the LA wedding even tho I likely won’t be able to make it

Bel! You are getting married! You are not goofy or naive. All these years, and you keep on surprising us. xoxo
OMG I love your site. Just remember, one day you and Stan are gonna need to buy diaper bags for your baby. So come to me…
Always glad to follow a different blog . Thank you for the input . In addition, apart from the content , the design of your site is honestly beautiful . Bravo .
Your brother sounds like a reasonable guy. I hope you’re making the right decision with that Stan.
That was very personal and I enjoyed reading it.
A simple yet nice engagement.
Congrats to you and Stan! He’s in for a lifetime of silliness with you, it looks like. You are so funny!
